The pursuit of money

WHILE Thatcherism made the overt pursuit of wealth more acceptable in Britain, it is still generally regarded as a bit vulgar. This view is reflected in the latest European Social Survey, in which just 13.5% of Britons said that someone who thought it important to be rich, have money and expensive things was "like me".
